We are proud to be located in one of the most unique, authentic and mysterious cities in the United States. It is our desire to capture the heart and soul of the city that we call home from the sky. We are proudly listed as a five star provider and one of the top outdoor activities in New Orleans by TripAdvisor. In addition, we have received the Certificate of Excellence award multiple times based on our consistently great reviews by all our happy patrons!

We are taking extra precautions and are disinfecting commonly used surfaces regularly. We are thoroughly disinfecting each aircraft before each flight. Hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol, hand soap, no-touch trash cans, aircraft disinfectants, and disposable towels are available for clients during your visit.

Everyone who comes into our office is currently required to wear a mask. We are checking temperatures and wellness (using the CDC’s list of symptoms) upon arrival for all guests and staff. We are also checking if you’ve been around anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19. The front door will be locked in order to limit the number of people in the office at one time, so please call 504-241-9131 or 1-877-FLY NOLA when you arrive and we’ll let you know if you need to wait or if it’s OK to come inside. All guests are required to sign a waiver. All guests are required to bring their own aviation headset, or purchase a reusable mic muff if you do not have a headset. Unfortunately, this is the only part of the headset we are unable to sanitize, so we are requiring everyone to have their own.

If you are unable to fly due to COVID-19 symptoms upon arrival, or if you’ve shown them in the 14 days prior to your flight, our standard cancellation policies and rescheduling fees apply. For most activities, as long as we have 72 hours notice, we can reschedule at no charge.

We have face masks available for purchase. If your activity is during regular office hours, we can accept payment via credit/debit card or cash. If your activity is outside regular office hours (8:30am - 5:30pm), we can accept cash in the exact amount. Our pilots do not have access to change outside of office hours.

Right now, we are allowing guests in the office by appointment only, in order to limit the number of people at one time. We’d love to set up a time to answer your questions in person, or we can answer questions over the phone. Just give us a call at 504-241-9131 or 1-877-FLY NOLA.

Right now we are limiting the number of people in the office at one time, so only the scheduled guests will be allowed into the office. They can wait outside or in their vehicle, or return when your lesson is over. If the weight and balance allows, they may add on as an observer for an additional fee and fly with you. A parent/guardian will be allowed in for check-in if the pilot is under 18.

Our discovery flights operate seven days a week between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM.

Take to the skies for an extended, hands-on lesson and discover the wonder of flight for yourself with this immersive experience. With the help of an FAA certified flight instructor, you will receive exclusive instruction on flight controls and aerodynamics while preflighting the aircraft. Then, taxi the aircraft out to the runway and prepare for your very first, assisted take-off. Once in the air, enjoy a new perspective from above as you pilot the aircraft over the Crescent City. Your journey will include views of the Superdome and the historic French Quarter, which hug the mighty Mississippi. Next, you will make your final approach to the runway, with instructor help, where you’ll experience your first ever landing from the cockpit.

All of our pilots are professional, commercial pilots certified by the FAA.

You can book your flight directly from our website or give us a call at 504-241-9131 to book over the phone. Advance purchase is required for all of our flights.

No. The price you see at the time of booking is the price you will pay for your flight. However, pilot gratuity is not included in your purchase. You are welcome to tip the instructor at the time of your flight, or you can purchase gratuity in increments of $10 at the time of booking.

You can add up to 2 observers (given you meet the weight restrictions of 450 lbs. combined) for an additional fee. Please keep in mind that if you would like to bring an observer along, you must book your discovery flight in the C172/PA28 option, as the C152 is only a two-passenger aircraft.

We are closed for the following holidays: Mardi Gras, Easter, Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

Refunds are not permitted. All sales are final. New Orleans Aerial Tours & Flight Training requires a 72 hour notice to reschedule without charge. If we are not provided sufficient notice, client forfeits the full amount of their payment and/or voucher and any additional upgrades purchased. At the time of your order, we remove the availability of tickets/planes from your chosen time from our inventory, reducing the number of flights available that day. While this allows our customers the benefit of a guaranteed experience, it prevents us from overselling or reselling in the event that you do not attend your chosen flight time.

In the event of a unique weather occurrence, New Orleans Aerial Tours & Flight Training reserves the right to alter, modify, or reschedule any flights due to weather or unsafe conditions within two weeks of the original reservation. Refunds are not available if a flight must be rescheduled due to weather conditions.

There is a 10 minute grace period after your scheduled flight time. For late shows beyond 10 minutes, we cannot guarantee the full time reserved, and we reserve the right to reduce your flight by the time delayed.

You only need to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the time of your flight.

Partipants must be at least 10 years old. There is no upper age limit.

Yes, an electronic liability waiver must be signed by each participant prior to any experience with our company. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must sign the waiver for you.

No outside food or drinks are allowed on the aircraft during a discovery flight.

Smoking is prohibited on all of our aircraft.

We reserve the right to deny boarding to, and are prohibited by the FAA from, allowing any person/persons that appear to be under the influence, incapacitated, or unfit to fly to board the aircraft. The pilot has responsibility to maintain safety of flight. If the pilot deems he is being assaulted, intimidated, or interfered with, the pilot has the authority to return to the airport and discontinue activity. Failure to abide by these policies will result in immediate forfeit of the full amount paid.

Per FAA regulations, all participants must wear a seat belt while in the aircraft. If you are flying with a child who is 4 years old or younger,r we require you to provide a Child Restraint System (CRS) that is approved for aircraft in order for your child to fly with you. Not all car seats are approved for use in airplanes, so for the CRS to be used for a flight it must have “This restraint is certified for use in motor vehicles and aircraft” printed on it. For more details about flying with children, visit the FAA’s website here.

Each flight is a private, scenic experience with just you and your observers, if you choose to add them at your time of purchase, on board. We do have a maximum of 3 passengers per aircraft and a weight limit of 450 lbs for all participants combined.

The C152 is a small, two-seater aircraft (think smart car version), while the C172 and Piper Archer III are four-seater aircraft. Additionally, the C152 has a height limit of 5’10” and weight limit of 180 lbs, and it cannot carry additional observers.

Unfortunately, due to the size and entry restrictions for our aircraft, they are not wheelchair accessible.

You should wear comfortable clothing appropriate for specific weather conditions. The aircraft is equipped with heating during the winter, however there is typically no air conditioning during the summer months. Participant should have closed-toed shoes for ease of managing the aircraft.

If you are pregnant or prone to motion sickness, we recommend consulting a physican before flying. Please take necessary precautions as refunds are not provided in this type of situation.

All participants must show a valid, government-issued photo ID at the time of check-in. Please arrive 5 minutes prior to the flight. You must also have our liability waiver signed prior to your flight. If it is not signed prior to check-in, it will be required at the time of your arrival. If you have a logbook, please bring this as well so your flight time can be documented by the instructor.

We are a small company, and therefore hotel pickup is not included in the price of the aerial tours at this time. We do work with select local taxicab drivers to provide hotel pickups. Choose the Transportation Add On at check-out for pickup from the downtown/French Quarter area of New Orleans. If you are outside of that area, or are unsure if your location is included in that area, please call us at 504-241-9131, and we can get you a quote for transportation costs to/from your requested location.

We are located immediately to the left of the Main Terminal when you pull into the Lakefront Airport inside the Moffett Hangar.

We do suggest that you call in advance in order to book a flight for a specific date and time. Although we are open 7 days a week, we cannot guarantee there will be an aircraft and/or instructor available at the time of your walk-in.
