Pilots holding a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) are allowed to carry passengers or property for hire in a single engine aircraft. Once you have your CPL, we add on a multi-engine (ME) rating with just another 15 hours. In as little as 6-8 months with our FAA approved Part 141 course, you'll become familiar with complex aircraft and gain plenty of experience with maneuvers and cross-country flights while you learn all the dos and don'ts of being a commercial pilot. Additional Info
We require all our students/renters to carry non-owned aircraft insurance, minimum coverage of $50,000 for physical damage. All policies should have coverage for damage to aircraft/persons/and property. You wouldn’t drive your own car, rent a car, or ride a motorcycle without coverage, so why fly a plane without it either?
To start your medical, you will complete FAA Form 8500-8 online. Information entered into MedXPress will be available for your FAA-designated AME to review. Click here to search the FAA database for an AME near you. Choose AME in the Designee Types dropdown, and then we’ve found it’s easiest to search by location by entering your county (or parish in Louisiana) and the state.
